Arboricultural Team Member

Are you a green-space professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic, supportive environment? The City of Logan is seeking a proactive Arboricultural Team Member to join our Parks Operations team.

What You Need:

• Certificate III Horticulture or Certificate II Arboriculture (with tree experience)

• Current MR Class Driver’s License (Medium Rigid)

• White Card - Building and Construction Industry Certification

• Level 1 Operate and Maintain Chainsaw certification

• Chainsaw Fall Trees Manually (Intermediate) accreditation

What You'll Do:

• Field Operations: Perform ground-based pruning, tree removals, mulching, and planting in road reserves and parks.

• Equipment Management: Safely operate and maintain a range of industry tools and fleet items up to 15t GVM.

• Park Stewardship: Inspect sites for hazards like sharps or vandalism and ensure areas are left clean and safe for the public.

• Technical Applications: Prepare and apply pesticide, herbicide, and fungicide formulations to manage pests and diseases.
